The Red Scare 2.0: The Astrology and Spiritual Meaning of the Prairieland 9 Sentences
So I recently heard the news about the Prairieland 9’s sentencing.
In case you’re unaware, the Prairieland 9 is a group of Texan leftist organizers who were arrested and convicted of “Antifa Terrorism” last year. The activists were all members of a local chapter of the Socialist Rifle Association, “an organization dedicated to educating on and advocating for all aspects of self and community defense” (SocialistRA.org). “The chapters of the SRA perform a wide variety of activities, [such as] range days, social get-togethers, mutual aid, community gardens, instruction, and more [to achieve] the goal of [fostering] a supportive and inclusive community that can work together to achieve its common goals and rebuff against reactionary right wing firearms culture” (SocialistRA.org).
On July 4th, 2025, A few members of the Fort Worth Texas chapter organized a protest “in solidarity with the Detainees at the Prairieland Detention Center in Alvarado, Texas” in response to the growing ICE concentration camps (PrairielandDefendants.com). They held a noise demo, and lit fireworks close to the facility as well as spraypainted cars and such. Obviously, due to the nature of the Detention Center, law enforcement quickly arrived. One came in with a gun, pointing it at a protester. According to their lawyer, another protester “fired his gun at the ground as suppressive fire” out of fear for their friend (HoustonPublicMedia.org). Somehow, the aforementioned officer was shot. The organizers’ lawyers were not allowed to plead self defense.
“The prosecution alleges that this was a coordinated ambush planned by all those in attendance. The subject of the manhunt and only accused shooter, Benjamin “Champagne” Song, is claimed to have been hidden by a number of individuals.
The DOJ claims that the defendants are part of a violent ideological movement they call “antifa.” As evidence they cite zines, political rhetoric, and many practices common for activists such as using Signal, wearing black, and asserting their rights when arrested. They also use as evidence the printing press found in 2 defendants’ garage, which they used to print books for small left-wing presses.” (PrairielandDefendants.com)
“In all, 18 people have been arrested and charged with a variety of crimes. 9 people were arrested that night, and another was arrested the next day during a raid on a house.” (PrairielandDefendants.com)
The Prairieland protestors have been in custody since July 4th, 2025 (Justice.Gov). In March 2026, a federal jury in Fort Worth convicted all nine defendants on various charges, including rioting, providing material support to terrorists, and attempted murder (Justice.Gov). Some were sentenced on June 23rd, 2026, and the rest were sentenced July 1st, 2026.
After reading the dates of the sentencing, my intuition told me to look at the astrology of those two dates. I swiftly realized there was some major synchronicity at play, a level of which could not be coincidental.
The Events and Astrology of the Prairieland Protestors’ Sentencing
June 23rd Sentencing
On June 22, 2026, the state officially cleared the runway for its legal terror campaign against the Prairieland Protestors. In a calculated display of structural violence, federal judges in Fort Worth denied all post-trial motions for acquittal or a new trial filed by the defendants' legal teams. They didn't stop there; they brutally overruled nearly all of the defense's sentencing-guideline objections, deliberately paving the way for the maximum possible penalties. The empire has been attempting to slam the door on collective resistance for a while, and this is its first successful inch forward. By systematically shutting down every legal avenue for relief for these organizers, the courts established a lethal bottleneck. The system looked at young activists fighting against the atrocities of an ICE concentration camp and delivered a cold-blooded, premeditated shutdown. They wanted to terrorize us into submission, banking on the idea that stripping away our legal defenses would break the back of their rebellion.
This exact real-world bottleneck perfectly mirrored the rare celestial architecture of the day: an extremely rare Grand Sextile. This six-pointed hexagram was formed by locking two massive planetary circuits together into a high-stakes web of tension. First, an Air Trine—Ceres in Gemini, Pluto Retrograde in Aquarius, and the Moon in Libra—represented the tactical, legal, and institutional machinery of the state snapping into position to rewrite the law and assert authoritarian dominance. Interlocking with that was a Fire Trine—Lilith in Sagittarius, Venus in Leo, and Neptune in Aries—embodying the ego-centric, fascist, delusional wildfire of the Trump Administration, MAGA, the Heritage Foundation, Project 2025 and all the pigs who have worked towards its implementation. The state hijacked this fleeting moment of cosmic opportunity, using the intellectual weaponization of the Air Trine with the ferocity of the Fire Trine to usher in the modern iteration of the Red Scare. The Grand Sextile became a cosmic pressure cooker where the empire laid out the scaffolding of the next turning point in the ongoing collective death and rebirth.
The very next morning, on June 23, the tension snapped, and the gavel fell with horrifying force. A federal judge in Fort Worth handed down historically devastating sentences to eight of the Prairieland protesters over a violent July 4 anti-ICE demonstration. Benjamin Song, the one convicted of opening fire, received the absolute maximum sentence of 100 years (PrairielandDefendants.com). Seven other demonstrators were slammed with 50 to 70 years in prison on charges of “providing material support to terrorists” (PrairielandDefendants.com), material which were non-violent, informative zines and books on mutual aid and community organizing. The government weaponized the law to legally designate these activists as a domestic terror cell tied to a fake group they made up and called antifa. Antifa is of course just short for antifastist, which means the US government is legally identifying itself as the opposite. This was an obviously grotesque, theatrical assault on democracy, designed to make a brutal example out of people whose primary goal was to protest systemic violence.
Astrologically, as the Moon shifted out of Libra on June 23, the locked symmetry of the Grand Sextile shattered, leaving behind two potent Grand Kites. Grand Kites are cosmic manifestation engines—arrows of immense tension fired at a specific target. In Grand Kite 1, the base of the dramatics of Venus in Leo, supported by the wings of the individualistic delusions of Neptune in Aries and dogmatic shadows of Lilith in Sagittarius, all driving powerful fire straight into the apex of Pluto Retrograde in Aquarius. Here, Pluto represents the decaying, oppressive power structure of a dying empire. The 100-year and 70-year sentences were the physical manifestation of Pluto at the apex, breathing oxygen into the heated gavel of the Trump Administration’s goals.
Simultaneously, Grand Kite 2 fired the state's second arrow. This Kite had a base of Lilith in Sagittarius and structural wings of Saturn in Aries and Venus in Leo, all directing fire towards Ceres in Gemini. While Ceres represents nurturing, Ceres in this scenario represented the planned, tactical, sharp-tongued weaponization of fascist language and ideology. By intentionally branding a protest as "domestic terrorism” and prosecuting decentralized dissenters as a highly organized terror cell, the state used the legal narrative itself as a weapon. They didn't just throw people in a cage; they used Ceres in Gemini to ideologically terrorize the public, attempting to legally rewrite the definition of community defense into a federal crime to enforce mass compliance.
Together, the shift from the Grand Sextile to these twin Grand Kites marked the exact moment celestial tension manifested as undeniable state oppression. A Kite pattern doesn't allow energy to stagnate; it forces high-stakes manifestation through extreme friction. The fascist judiciary actively used these exact astrological engines to drop the hammer on the Prairieland 9. They wielded Pluto’s systemic dominance and Ceres’s ideological warfare to pin our people to the dirt. But this calculated oppression wasn't the end of our story. It was the sharp, brutal catalyst that transformed our resistance from hopeful, scattered actions into a completely necessary, methodical mobilization. The state handed us the heaviest weights imaginable, unknowingly setting the stage for us to use them as our ultimate leverage.
July 1st Sentencing
If June 23 was the initial shock, July 1 was the empire locking the doors and cementing its multi-year war human rights. Federal judges in Fort Worth returned to the bench to hand down extreme sentences to seven additional defendants involved in the Prairieland anti-ICE protest. Seven more protestors were sentenced to a range of 6-50 years. By relentlessly bringing the gavel down on these remaining activists, the state made it unmistakably clear that they intend to use every tool of the judicial system to systematically suffocate any resistance to their white supremacist, neo-colonial borders.
This second wave of legal terror perfectly aligned with the activation of a 6-year-long outer planetary Minor Triangle, which will cast its shadow until August 13, 2032. July 1st was still a part of a Full Moon Cycle, which peaked on June 29th in Capricorn. As the Full Moon entered Aquarius, it directly conjoined Pluto Retrograde, acting as a massive trine wing to Uranus in Gemini—which was fiercely conjunct Mars between June 28 and July 8—and firing dual sextiles to the apex of Neptune in Aries. The state wielded the vigor of these transits to broadcast sheer terror to the collective, using the tactical legal shocks of the Mars-Uranus conjunction to enforce their fascist narrative. This long-term cosmic geometry maps the exact 6-year runway the state intends to use to legally dismantle our movements, proving this is a sustained, structural siege.
Simultaneously, this exact 6-year Minor Triangle is still forming a massive Grand Cradle with Jupiter in Leo, active from June 23 through August 15. The Moon-Pluto conjunction created a high-stakes spine of opposition directly to Jupiter, representing the state’s arrogant, theatrical display of dominance and performative pride. The justice system made a grotesque spectacle of these activists to feed the ego of a dying empire. But a Grand Cradle is ultimately an alchemical vessel. The supportive apexes of the innovation of Uranus in Gemini and the visions of Neptune in Aries can catch the polarizing tension of this spine. The sheer severity of the state's fascistic overreach will become the exact container required to transmute our collective trauma into radical, visionary fuel for the fight ahead.
The Bigger Picture
The intense friction generated by the Moon-Pluto conjunction and the volatile Mars-Uranus conjunction in Gemini acted as a solvent. The state thought they were nailing the coffin shut on our resistance, but this extreme overreach actually provided the precise friction needed to completely dissolve the illusion of “America the Free”. These sentences may be a defeat; but they’re also a radical awakening for the collective. It forces us to confront the brutal reality that we must completely abandon reformist politics and immediately begin the grueling, underground work required to end a fascistic empire.
When I last wrote about this Grand Sextile, I compared it to the famous “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” scene from Mulan. Returning back to this metaphor, the sentencing of Prairieland Protestors served as the "pack up, go home, you're through" corridor—that critical scene where all hope is lost, and thus she has nothing left to lose. We can no longer pretend that things can continue as they are without destroying basic human rights. This corridor forces the total shattering of our hyper-individualistic, capitalist, neo-colonial society run by fascist pedo pigs, demanding we stop playing by the rules of a rigged, dying game.
Neptune Retrograde
These stubborn illusions are officially dissolving under Neptune Retrograde in Aries, which stationed on July 7th and will drag us through the fire until December 12th. When Neptune moves backward, its foggy, dreamy veil is violently ripped away, revealing the stark, undeniable truth of our reality. This transit is the exhausting process of pulling out all the illusions concerning the state of things. This sobering process is, of course, incredibly arduous and yet immensely liberating, like the climb up the pole in that exact Mulan scene. Remember, the revolution will not be televised- it starts within, and it starts with you. Because Neptune Retrograde in Aries is ruled by Mars, it is a highly active, militant unmasking that forces us through four distinct phases as Mars moves through Gemini, Cancer, Leo, and Virgo. We are stripping away the naive performative activism and hauling ourselves upward, wide awake to the lethal stakes of our collective survival.
Mars Retrograde
Because Neptune Retrograde is ruled by Mars, this grueling climb leads right into the ultimate test: Mars Retrograde. Mars will enter its pre-retrograde shadow phase on November 5th before officially stationing retrograde on January 10th, 2027. If Neptune Retrograde is the exhausting climb, Mars Retrograde is the mental version of the training montage that follows the retrieval of the arrow once Mulan reaches the top of the pole. Our outward momentum will completely stall, forcing our warrior energy fiercely inward. This is the period of resetting our structural goals after the total shattering of our illusions. It demands the silent, meticulous building of personal integrity, mutual aid infrastructure, and the bulletproof psychological discipline required to survive and eventually fulfill our radical vision.
The Alchemy of Ascent
Spiritually, the ushering in of this Neptune Retrograde marks a profound initiation for the collective soul. We are being asked to alchemize the deepest, most suffocating grief of a collapsing world into the unbreakable architecture of a new one. The universe is stripping away our spiritual complacency, demanding that we step fully into our sovereign power, not through loud, empty declarations, but through the quiet, relentless devotion of building true resilience. We are learning how to tie the heavy weights of our reality together and use them as our own leverage.
