The Phoenix's Cradle: April 13-19 '26 + Aries New Moon Astrology Guide
If last week was the warning shot, this week is the sound of the gates being torn off their hinges as we enter a rare historical "remix" of 1821. With a massive seven-body Aries stellium hitting the cosmic reset button, the passive fog has officially been torched, replaced by a searing cardinal fire that demands we stop grieving the old world and start pioneering the new one. As we navigate the high-stakes pressure of a global "Cradle" aspect pattern and prepare for a powerhouse New Moon on the 17th, the universe is no longer asking for our participation—it is forcing a reckoning with our sovereignty, our security, and the very foundations of our lives. The revolution is no longer a distant threat; it is vibrating in our nervous systems, and this week’s guide is the blueprint for surviving the heat and planting seeds in the ashes of the crumbling capitalist empire.
Retrospective: April 6-12 ‘26
If you are feeling completely spiritually and somatically winded after this past week, you are not alone. When I sat down to write last week's guide, I warned that the passive fog of Pisces was about to trade itself for a direct, high-octane spark of cardinal fire. Looking back at the events of last week, the cosmos delivered exactly what was promised: a ferociously ignited collective battle, testing the structural imbalances of our world in real-time. The astrology didn't just mirror the news; it gave us the exact blueprint for the polycrisis we’re navigating.
The week began exactly as forecasted, with authoritarian agendas doubling down, fueled by confidence, impatience, and a fiery temper. As Mars spent its last days in Pisces and ingressed into Aries, we watched Trump’s explosive Easter Sunday threats to decimate Iran clash with Iran’s maximalist counterproposals. The brinkmanship over the Strait of Hormuz brought the globe to a terrifying boiling point. When the sudden, temporary two-week ceasefire was announced late Tuesday, it perfectly embodied the last minute self induced release of that overfilled bottle of emotional and geopolitical bottles the Trump regime has been filling up without emptying out. And just as forecasted, that tension boiled over.
I had noted that the Martian-Uranian energy would lead to sudden impacts on our collective finances, and the "SaaS-pocalypse" was the textbook manifestation of this shock. The 13% crash in Cloudflare and the broader SaaS sell-off—triggered by fears that Anthropic’s Claude Mythos could autonomously dismantle software security—shattered the illusion of stability in the tech sector. This was the Libra Full Moon truth of imbalance being grounded into harsh reality. As the AI bubble continues to show its cracks, it forces a reckoning with how much of our current collective financial security is built on the shaky ground of "capitalistic contradictions" and speculative tech.
By mid-week, the battle between inevitable change and resistance reached a fever pitch. The $600 million fire at the Ontario logistics facility was a literal, scorching embodiment of the sacred rage I warned was simmering beneath the surface. When Chamel Abdulkarim stood against the machinery of corporate greed, his viral cry—"you just had to pay us enough to live"—resonated as a holy testament to the exhaustion of the working class. This was a profound honoring of the collective shadow, a scream of "enough" from those crushed by the weight of wage slavery. It proved that the "soil" of our current capitalistic landscape is no longer fertile enough to sustain anything but its own collapse.
As Mother Moon transitioned into the collectively conscious sign of Aquarius, hidden power structures were dragged into the open alongside this rising heat. The total collapse of the Islamabad ceasefire talks laid bare the fragility of international diplomacy, while the resurfacing of the Epstein files and bipartisan demands for unredacted truths highlighted the deep rot of controlling authoritarianism. The fated group transformation I spoke of was palpable; the collectively perceived veil is thinning, and the public's tolerance for state-sanctioned secrets and murky narratives—like the continued mysterious deaths of top nuclear and space scientists—is rapidly evaporating.
But with every action comes an equal and opposite reaction. Saturn in Aries asked us to take personal responsibility through disciplined, pioneering action, and the collective answered the call. The No Kings and anti-war rallies that swept through 18 U.S. cities were the exact international pushback and uncoupling the stars pointed toward. Seeing citizens block ports and federal buildings was a vivid realization of the escalating risk of breaking away from capitalism when our somatic and financial security is entirely shattered. These aren’t just protests anymore; they’re becoming the first steps of a collective rebirth.
Amidst all this fire, there were profound moments of pioneering vitality and humanitarian hope. The historic, record-breaking splashdown of the Artemis II crew reminded us of the importance of not losing the forest for the trees. And on the ground, the devotionally empathetic energy of Vesta in Pisces was beautifully active. We continue to see community mutual-aid networks, faith-based food pantries, and neighborhood resilience hubs stepping up to catch those falling through the cracks of the energy crisis. It is a potent reminder that we can honor our personal values while taking those small, practical steps toward major long-term change.
As we close the book on this intense transit window, remember that the Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Aries has shown us that the foundations we've relied on are shifting. The tilling of the soil is painful, but it is necessary. As we close out this moon cycle and start a new cycle with the New Moon on the 17th, that will become more evident than ever. Take a breath, ground yourselves in your mutual aid communities, and let's look forward to how we navigate the cosmic weather to come.

Energy Breakdown
We start out this week…
With some intense transits! The planet of war (Mars) meeting up with the planet of the unseen (Neptune). Given that Neptune symbolizes deep visions and illusions, we can expect this transit to bring about aggression based on distorted personal perspectives and furthermore, delusions of grandeur. This immediately reminds me of the unabashed hubris exhibited by the Trump Regime, AI + Corporate Execs, and overall the top 1%. Hubris which is pushing capitalism to its limits, showcased by the intensifying polycrisis the world is facing. This transit’s energy will be present through the 17th, carrying us into the New Moon in Aries as it combines with two Minor Triangles to form an aspect pattern known as a Cradle.
To refresh your memory, a minor triangle is easier to understand when you compare it to a Grand Trine. A Grand Trine is so harmonious and flowing, that it can have a hard time manifesting, making it much more internalized and passive. A Minor Triangle has the slightest bit more tension, making it more productive and focused.
The first Minor Triangle of this Cradle is the outer planet Minor Triangle I wrote about last week, which places Neptune, still loosely conjunct Saturn and now fully conjunct Mars, as the release valve of Pluto and Uranus's drive for innovative collective transformation. This minor triangle will be present through August 2032- for more information about this, check out the Historical Context section of my astro guide from last week (April 6-12 ‘26).
The second minor triangle places Pluto’s drive for rebirth as the release valve of the societal restructuring demanded by the Mas-Neptune-Satun triad and Lilith’s demand for the breaking away from restrictive, forced belief systems. This Minor Triangle will only last until April 16th, thus this Cradle will only last through that same day, two days before the Aries New Moon.
These Minor triangles are connected through the Mars-Neptune-Saturn triad sextiling Pluto, with both as release valves, as well as an opposition between Uranus and Lilith. This opposition is the core tension of this cradle, tension which leads to inevitable collective change. The interesting thing about this opposition is that both planetary bodies represent different forms of freedom- Uranus in Taurus representing collective freedom through tangible, materialistic/financial breakthroughs, Lilith in Sagittarius representing personal freedom through the refusal to be controlled in any way possible. This signals a tension between the desire for security and the desire for acknowledgement of harsh truths. Tension which is released through the Mars-Neptune-Saturn triad in Aries as well as Pluto in Aquarius. All will push us to understand that there is truly no going back to the way things were, and to start acting from this understanding every day (instead of from illusory ideas about the sustainability of capitalism).
Like I said last week, the outer planet minor triangle is going to push us into societal restructuring and collective rebirth through the intensification of capitalist contradictions. This Cradle activation of this Minor Triangle, the days leading up to the Aries New Moon, is no different. With the Lilith-Uranus pushes for freedom, we can expect this push, as well as reactions to it, to intensify this week. This will of course translate into heightened authoritarianism, aggression, and greed from the pigs running the collapsing systems. Additionally, this will translate into heightened aggression from the masses, everyday people, standing up for their rights and fighting back.
As the Moon in Aquarius squares Uranus on Monday April 13th, ...
The spark of this tension is lit. This transit is peaking right before the Moon ingresses into Pisces- signaling a Uranian disruption to security which shakes us out of the Aquarian humanitarianly driven logical detachment and into the sensitive, emotional, compassionately empathetic waters of Pisces. Given the fire heavy astrological weather, this may be sudden, triggering and/or very stressful. With all that is ongoing currently, I expect this to bring more disruptions to energy security, which may lead to supply chain disruptions, as well as more AI bubble pops.
However, given the Venus sextile Jupiter transit peaking on that same day- there’s a high likelihood that this shake up is for the better, and will lead to a lucky break regarding home expenses. Furthermore, the Moon conjoins the North Node in Pisces. Thus, as harsh as this shake up may be, it will lead to enlightenment about and alignment with your life purpose, destiny, and future.
This alignment with your purpose, destiny, and future will be expanded upon on Tuesday April 14th…
As Vesta (in Pisces), the asteroid of devotion, as well as the Moon, both trine Jupiter. Additionally, the Moon sextiles Venus, and Venus sextiles Uranus.
As the Venus-Jupiter sextile gets activated, the changes-for-the-better lucky streak is amplified. This creates the perfect opportunity for alchemizing recent losses and disruptions into personal and collective abundance! I do warn to be cautious though. This energy signals a “what I want, wants me” mentality, which can absolutely be true, and is an extremely potent and powerful affirmation for manifestation and motivation. However, that Mars-Neptune acting on delusions of grandeur energy is still very much prevalent. Make sure to ground yourself before jumping the gun on sudden changes or moves.
The urge to act and speak without fully thinking through things will be intensified as Mercury ingresses into Aries that same day. The overwhelmed, overthinking nature of Mercury in Pisces is traded for the blunt, bold assertiveness of Mercury in Aries. With this marking the sixth planetary body in Aries, the likelihood of aggressive arguments, hasty judgements, and impulsivity is extremely high. This will only heighten the geopolitical tension as it aggravates all sides into bold discussions and actions. This may also lead to more exposures of the elite and whistleblowers coming forward with information as we feel emboldened to speak up. Mercury will be in Aries through May 1st.
Building off of the Cradle initiated at the beginning of the week, we are likely to see this “jumping the gun” energy exhibited by the Trump regime concerning the Iran War. We are also likely to see amped up aggression from Iran, likely with help from their Allies. This may also translate into countries all over the world taking decisive action for their own energy and supply chain security. All of this may cause a stir, with all the fire of the astrological weather.
There are also pros to all this Aries energy though- it marks a shift in the collective rebirth from the death phase and into the pioneering of the subsequent birth which follows. This brings us to the Aries New Moon, which we will start feeling on the 14th, peaks on the 17th, and is felt through the 20th.
Before the Moon ingresses into Aries on Wednesday April 15th, ...
She sextiles Uranus. Additionally, Mars sextiles Juno, the asteroid of partnerships (in Aquarius). These transits mark an alignment between our somatic desire for equitable change to relations with our actions and goals. I expect this to bring about more shifts in global alliances and international relations, both between countries supporting the U.S. and those distancing themselves from the U.S.
Then, as the Moon ingresses into Aries that same day, she becomes the seventh planetary body to transit through Aries. Immediately, she conjoins Mercury, Mars, Neptune, and Saturn. Yes, this day is when we start feeling the aggressively malefic Mars-Saturn conjunction (more on that later). Furthermore, she is still sextile Uranus and is now sextile Pluto as well, joining the outer planet Minor Triangle initiated by the last Full Moon. In addition to all this, All coming together to push us into that collective pioneering of a new era which I mentioned. The drive for revolutionary change is palpable, and this will be reflected in reality through an increasing amount of discussions and actions against the crumbling systems. Just as we saw last week, more every day people will start to fight back, whether it be through individual or collective action.
The next day, Thursday April 16th, ...
The Moon squares Jupiter, signaling a tension between this desire for revolutionary change and personal comfort. This will be tested as the Sun conjoins Chiron, Mars sextiles Pluto, and Mercury conjoins Neptune. The comforts which the crumbling systems offered were always limited, a truth which becomes undeniable with these transits.
With the Venus-Jupiter sextile’s energy now fizzled, this may be a very harsh reality check. Personally, this may bring shocks to personal security. Collectively, this will probably manifest as more disruptions to energy security and supply chain security, more AI bubble pops, and further global uncoupling with the U.S.
Friday April 17th, …
The New Moon peaks at 27 degrees Aries as she joins the Sun-Chiron conjunction before ingressing into Taurus. With Chiron being the wounded healer in the personally driven sign of Aries, toxically individualistic survival wounds surrounding the tests and tensions of the last few days are highlighted by the Sun and Moon’s nurturing light. With the Sun’s aim for personal expression and the Moon’s goal of emotional security, this New Moon will likely about a tense outburst showcasing the harms of these survival wounds in order to push us towards healing them.
Depending on your chart and how well you keep up with your shadow work, this will of course look different for everyone personally- it could range from breakthroughs from personal reflection to arguments and/or harsh sudden livelihood changes. Collectively, this will be a reckoning with the unsustainability of the current systems through the polycrises we’re navigating through. We can expect breaking news and developments surrounding all the crises of this polycrisis- the climate crisis, the energy crisis, the Middle Eastern crisis, the destruction of the illusion of American democracy, etc.
I also expect more collective action against the pigs at the top and capitalist exploitation, whether it be organized action such as protests, sudden outbursts of aggression, or both.
Like I said, the Moon ingresses into Taurus shortly after, at which point she will square Pluto and sextile the North Node. This marks a tension between the desire for personal comfort and the need for transformation, with the understanding of one’s duty to their role in this collective rebirth. This brings up the uncomfortableness of change I spoke of last week. This New Moon is here to teach us to push through that uncomfortableness so that we can secure our livelihoods and futures, as that task becomes increasingly impossible to achieve through and in the system of capitalism.
As Mercury sextiles Juno on Saturday April 18th, …
The striving of mutually respectful and beneficial alliances continues. This, in addition to the Moon sextiling Jupiter and Venus sextiling Pluto, signals a swift alchemization of the uncomfortableness of change into action through the understanding that mutual support is what will get us out of the hole individualism has dug us into.
Collectively speaking, this will likely lead to updates on the alliances which were begun to be worked towards on Wednesday the 15th, again both between countries supporting the U.S. and those distancing themselves from the U.S. These updates were probably initiated mid week and will conversed more in/with the public arena with this Mercury-Juno sextile. This will also bring more of the masses standing up and coming together to fight the system.
With the Venus and Jupiter energy activated again, the conversations and happenings of this day will likely lead to personal expansion and beneficial changes. This may be the full circle moment of that “changes for the better” energy I mentioned earlier- this could be internal or external. You might not see or understand these pros until the 18th, or you might begin to see the positive results starting the 18th. This again, of course, depends on your chart and your overall life.
We close out the week on Sunday April 19th…
With Mother Moon exiting Taurus and ingressing into Gemini. As she makes her way through the tail end of Taurus, she conjoins Venus and then Uranus. As our desire for personal comfort now aligns with the necessary innovative changes to be made, the seed of the New Moon planted by the Taurus sprouts and is ready to explore its newfound environment through the mutable air of Gemini. She then sextiles Neptune and trines Pluto, signaling the first steps of pioneering dreams of collective transformation for the purpose of freedom through curiosity and adaptability. The uncomfortability of change is a fear which is no longer preventing (most) people from taking necessary actions to cultivate security outside of capitalism- it’s an accepted reality motivating us to take action.
The responsibility of this shift is not just felt, but slapped in our faces as the peak of the Mars-Saturn conjunction hits and is activated by the Moon sextiling Saturn. As Mars, the planet of war, meets up with Saturn, the planet of restrictions, the desire for swift action meets a red light. However, given that Mars is in its domicile, he has the power here and thus, can easily run that red light if he wants to. There is a high likelihood of hardened aggression from built up tension, either from repression or conflict. Aggression which will require disciplined management.
This will probably manifest in a few ways- the pigs at the top running into obstacles in their plans, obstacles likely having to do with delays and disruptions to energy and supply chain security, as well as the collective fight to tear down the walls of the structure of societal systems which are no longer sustainable.
The curious, exploratory energy of the Moon-Neptune-Pluto transits will only amplify the feeling that everything in your personal life is being blocked. This could manifest as work or financial pressure and/or delays, as well as delays to personal energy and energy security- whether it be a home/apartment fix/issue or a health related matter.
We will feel this Mars-Saturn conjunction through the 24th.
At the end of the day, the Moon sextiles Mercury and squares the North Node. The Moon-Mercury sextile signals innovative problem solving. The Moon-North Node square highlights a tension between this problem solving mental state and our feelings about our purpose as well as our future. The Mars-Saturn delays and disruptions may transform that Gemini curiosity into over-preparedness due to doubts surrounding the tangibleness of change, the value you have to offer, and the difference you can make. Just like the Artemis II mission reminded us, don’t lose the forest for the trees! These delays are temporary, the long term unsustainability of the current systems is not going away anytime soon.
We close out the day with Taurus season beginning as the Sun exits Aries and ingresses into the Venusian ruled fixed earth sign. The Sun’s vitality in the fertile land of Taurus brings a focus on creating stability, securing material resources, cultivating self worth, establishing value, endurance, and sensual presence.
This Taurus season marks a pivotal turning point in the cultivation of security as Uranus exits Taurus eight days after the Sun’s ingress into Taurus. Uranus has been in Taurus for eight years now and has brought consistent, major, sudden shifts concerning personal and collective finances, financial systems, material resources, and the foundational structures of society itself. Uranus will ingress into Gemini, where it hasn’t been since 1949. That’s a rabbit hole I’m saving for next week’s astro guide though.
The important thing to keep in mind is that by the end of the week, the seed of the Aries New Moon will be fully planted and sprouting, and will be nurtured by the Sun in Taurus over the next month. This week’s New Moon truly is the start of a whole new era. The revolution will not be televised, but it is still nonetheless unavoidable, an understanding will collectively be known by the end of the week.
Historical Context
We talk a lot about unprecedented times, but the sky is a master of keeping receipts. As we approach this week’s Aries overload—a literal traffic jam of Mars, Neptune, Saturn, Mercury, the Sun, the New Moon, and Chiron—we aren't just moving through a chaotic transit; we are stepping into a historical echo chamber. To understand the geopolitical Aries intensity of April 2026, we have to look back 200 years to the Great Stellium of April 1821.
Back then, the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn were all packed into the sign of the Ram, effectively hitting the reset button on the global power structure. It was the year the concept of the Empire began to bleed out, making way for the radical, messy birth of the modern nation-state.
In 1821, that Aries fire manifested as a global fever for independence. It was the year the Greek War of Independence ignited against the Ottoman Empire, and the year the Mexican War of Independence finally reached its fever pitch with the Plan of Iguala. Aries is the sign of the initiatory cardinal fire, and 1821 was the moment when the identity of a people became more prevalent than the "Divine Right" of a King. We saw the literal death of the old-world conqueror archetype when Napoleon Bonaparte died in May of that year. The energy was clear with its intention: the old systems of imperial control were being scorched to the ground to make room for something more self-sovereign and untested.
Domestically, the 1821 mirror is even more eerie. While history books focus on 1820, it was actually March and April of 1821 when the Second Missouri Compromise was finalized. This wasn't just a policy update; it was the moment the United States officially baked a psychological fracture into its legal foundation. By drawing a physical and political line between the North and South to keep a fragile peace, the 1821 stellium coded the division that would eventually define the American Civil War. Aries doesn't do nuance; it forces a choice. In 1821, the US chose to become a house divided, setting a precedent for the identity-as-a-battlefield politics we are navigating today.
Fast forward to our current 2026 lineup, and the architecture is strikingly similar, but with a high-definition upgrade. We still have the 7-body Aries cluster, but this time, Saturn and Neptune have met at the 0 degrees Aries point and are now the Apex of a six year long Minor Triangle with Uranus and Pluto.
While 1821 was about nations breaking away from old world empires, 2026 looks like the breaking away from the empire of capitalism. The geopolitical tension we’re feeling—the fragmentation of post-WWII alliances and the intensifying Cold Civil War—is the 1821 independence movement coming back again due to unavoidable necessary change. We are witnessing the collapse of globalist monopolies in favor of radical, localized autonomy.
The political tension of today resembles 1821 because we have once again reached limits of exploitation. Just as the Missouri Compromise of 1821 was a band-aid on a bullet wound, our current political structures are struggling to contain two completely different visions of reality. However, with Chiron and Neptune in the 2026 remix, the war over personal human rights is amplified. In 1821, you fought for a flag with the belief it will protect your rights; in 2026, you are fighting for the rights with the understanding that the only ones that flag is protecting are the privileged pigs making the rules.
We are seeing a return to personal sovereignty that was born during the 1821 revolutions. The geopolitical shifts toward decentralization, the rise of alternative economies, and the Cold Civil War rhetoric in national politics are all symptoms of a system that has outgrown its skin. Aries energy is a fire that either cooks your meal or burns your house down; the difference lies in whether you have the courage to lead your own life or if you're waiting for an empire to tell you what to do.
As you look at your charts this week, remember that you are walking through a doorway that only opens once every few centuries. We aren't just feeling the revolution fever; we are being asked to act upon it. The great breakup of the old world is here, and while the geopolitical map might be shifting, the real revolution starts in the mind. The question of 1821 was: Who owns this land? The question of 2026 is: Who owns you? Prepare accordingly.
Spiritual Task
This week, the spiritual task is not just about surviving the fire; it is about learning how to purposefully wield it. As we navigate the fiery traffic jam of the Aries stellium and the definitive close of the outer planet Minor Triangle’s Cradle, the cosmos is demanding that we stop grieving the illusion of the old world and start actively building the new one. The question echoing from 1821—Who owns you?—is not a rhetorical thought experiment. It is a direct reality check from the universe. Your primary spiritual assignment this week is to reclaim your sovereignty from a collapsing system by acknowledging that the comforts of capitalism were always a cage.
To do this, we must focus on radical somatic regulation in the face of pressure. With the Mars-Saturn conjunction acting as a restrictive pressure cooker, the urge to react impulsively out of fear, survival panic, or sheer exhaustion will be incredibly high. Mars wants to charge forward, but Saturn is hitting the brakes to ensure our actions are structurally sound. When you feel the delays hitting your personal life, your energy security, or your finances, your spiritual task is to breathe through the gridlock. Do not let the panic of the crumbling empire fry your nervous system. Channel that fierce, initiating Aries energy away from reactionary anxiety and into disciplined, deliberate focus. The revolution requires stamina, and you cannot dismantle the cage if you are entirely depleted.
Secondly, the astrology of this week demands that we actively decenter the toxic myth of individualism. As the Sun conjoins Chiron in Aries, our deepest wounds regarding hyper-independence and survivalism will be illuminated. The cure for this wound is found in the Venus-Jupiter sextile and the compassionate, humanitarian pull of the Moon’s transits. Your task is to lean relentlessly into your community. Look around at the mutual-aid networks, the neighborhood resilience hubs, and the people standing shoulder-to-shoulder with you against the greed of the 1%. Share your resources, share your grief, and share your hope. Alchemizing our personal struggles into collective power is the exact release valve Pluto and Uranus are asking for.
Finally, as the Aries New Moon peaks on the 17th, your ultimate spiritual task is to plant the seed of your non-compliance. The looming uncomfortability of change is becoming a shared daily reality. Use this potent New Moon energy to make a definitive choice about how you will cultivate security outside of the traditional systems of capital. Whether it’s divesting from a corrupt institution, joining or stepping up in a local organization, or simply refusing to sacrifice your humanity for comforting consumption, take one bold, pioneering action. Plant that seed in the fertile ashes of the old world so that as the Sun ingresses into Taurus, you are ready to stubbornly and beautifully nurture its growth. The empire is falling, but we are just getting started.

Somatic Practice of the Week
The Fire-Purge Shake (Aries Stellium & New Moon)
With Mars, Mercury, Saturn, Neptune, and the Sun all in Aries, the internal pressure can feel like a boiling kettle. This practice "burns" through the excess fuel so it doesn't turn into burnout or outbursts.
The Practice: Stand with your knees slightly bent. Begin to shake your hands vigorously as if trying to flick water off your fingertips.
The Expansion: Let the shaking travel up your arms, into your shoulders, and down into your torso and legs.
The Vocalization: As you shake, use "Lion’s Breath": Inhale deeply through your nose, then open your mouth wide, stick out your tongue, and exhale with a forceful "HA" sound.
The Visualization: Imagine the "Aries Fire" inside you is consuming old habits, fears, and frustrations. Every "HA" is the smoke leaving the chimney. Shake for 2–3 minutes until you feel a tingling heat in your skin.
