The Iron Fist and the Glass House: Weekly Astrology Breakdown (Jan 27 - Feb 2)

The Full Moon is coming, but the storm is already here.

This week is defined by a massive, history-making alignment. On Tuesday, Mars conjoins Pluto in Aquarius. This isn’t just weather; this is a systemic shock. It feels like an event that is sudden in its arrival but has been building up over decades of unchecked power.

Over the last few days, we have felt the atmosphere thicken. The post-Davos shifting of the world order is no longer theoretical; it is knocking at the door.

The Astrology of the Week

Tuesday, Jan 27: The Strike

The day begins with the Moon in Taurus conjoining Uranus and sextiling Saturn. This is a testing of emotional limits, stemming from an event that may feel sudden but has built up over time. After a three-hour void, the Moon enters Gemini and sextiles Neptune in Aries. Then, the hammer drops: Mars conjoins Pluto in Aquarius at 5 PM.

This is the "Iron Fist." In Aquarius, this is technological, bureaucratic, and detached force. It is the signature of the Trump administration’s use of ICE, the calculated strikes of the IOF, and the UAE’s maneuvering in Sudan. It is obvious that these are not the only modern applications; the Global South and minorities everywhere continue to suffer at the hands of late-stage capitalism.

Wednesday, Jan 28: Intellectual Processing

The Moon in Gemini trines the Sun, Mercury, and Venus in Aquarius. This creates a "processing out loud" energy. We are collectively trying to make sense of the new restrictions, limitations, and societal structures being imposed. This is a day for relational processing—trying to find the words for the weight we are all feeling.

Thursday, Jan 29: From Mind to Body

We begin to feel the pull of the February 1st Full Moon. The day starts with Mercury conjoining Venus and the Moon sextiling Chiron—this is the mental and emotional reflection point. However, at 4:30 PM, the Moon enters Cancer and squares Neptune. This marks the transition where we begin to integrate that reflection somatically. It is the shift from "How do I feel about this?" to "How is this landing in my physical body?"

Friday, Jan 30: Somatic Coherence

A day for integration, acceptance, and growth. As the Moon in Cancer trines the North Node and conjoins Jupiter, we focus on the somatic coherence of the last few days. It is about finding a way to house the intensity of horror in today's world within our nervous systems as the struggles of late stage capitalism + imperialism become increasingly unavoidable.

Saturday, Jan 31: The Growth Test

The growth of the last few days is tested as the Moon squares Chiron and sextiles Uranus. This will be extremely personal, hitting deep survival wounds. At 6 PM, the Moon enters Leo and trines Neptune. This is the recalibration point—the moment where we assess whether or not our internal integration of yesterday has held steady, and furthermore what changes may need to be made.

Sunday, Feb 1 – Monday, Feb 2: The Climax

The Full Moon in Leo arrives, and with it, a massive T-Square that peaks on Monday. On Sunday, the Moon opposes Pluto, Mars, and finally the Sun (4:10 PM). On Monday, the intensity holds as the Moon opposes Venus and Mercury (8 AM), then exactly squares Uranus retrograde in Taurus (5 PM).

This is the culmination of the week’s growth. The astrology is now screaming a singular truth: How one feels, acts, and who one is cannot be separated from the systems they move within. These spheres of life have never been separate, and this is becoming abundantly clear to us collectively.

The Historical & Political Context

We are living through a repetition of history that demands our attention.

Mars and Pluto meeting in Aquarius is a rare, generational reset. But we are not seeing an "inverse" of history; we are seeing the sequel: the shattering of the "Divine Right of Kings"—in this case, billionaires and the top 1%— A “divine right” which is upheld by an unsustainable global imperialist, settler-colonial, patriarchal, and eugenic system. The unsustainability of this system is making itself known through the geopolitical violence and shifting world orders we see today.

This week isn't just a general test; it is an activation of the Leo-Aquarius axis. This is the tension of Extreme Individualism versus Community and Collectivism. Systems at be attempt to continue use force to maintain control, and humanity is being forced to decide where its loyalty lies.

The Spiritual Task

The Full Moon in Leo opposes the Sun/Pluto/Mars in Aquarius. Leo is the heart, the individual spark; Aquarius is the collective machine.

The opposition asks you: As the contractions of this rebirth intensify, what are you going to do? As the system attempts to freeze the spirit, how will you keep the fire in your heart burning? This is the moment to allow fear to inform you of where your courage and compassion are needed. We can no longer cling to the ashes of individualism in prideful isolation; we must surrender to the transformation of the collective phoenix.

Shadow Work Prompts

Anchor Prompts for the Week:

1. The Complicity Check: In what ways do I silently agree to systems that oppress me just to maintain a sense of safety? Where am I trading my authenticity for 'peace'?

2. The Observer vs. The Feeler: When I witness chaos, do I retreat into my head to analyze it (Aquarius), or do I allow my heart to break for it (Leo)?

3. The Inherent Power Audit: Outside of my job or social standing, what is my relationship with my inherent power? Do I even feel or understand the power that exists simply because I am alive? How would I describe this inherent power? What are three ways I can reconnect to this internal inheritance this week?

Daily Focus:

Tuesday: Recall a moment today where I felt powerless. What does my reaction tell me about my oldest survival wound?

Wednesday: Am I talking about my emotions today to avoid actually feeling them?

Thursday (The Somatic): Where in my body am I holding the tension? If this body part could speak, would it ask for?

Friday (The Expansion): How am I resisting cultivating radical hope because I feel powerless about the state of the world?

Saturday: "Who am I performing for today, and is that performance protecting or draining my heart?"

Sun/Mon (The Full Moon): "How can I allow space for my grief to be held with love, so that I can transform my anger into sustained, meaningful action?"

Somatic Practice: The Support of the Core

A grounding meditation.

1. Settle: Find a comfortable seated position. Feel the weight of your body supported by whatever is beneath you (chair, cushion, or bed).

2. Descend: Imagine your energy traveling down through the seat, through the floor, and the grass and dirt beneath that floor and through the crust of Mother Earth.

3. The Core: Visualize your energy continuing to descend through all the core layers of Mother Earth. Feel the immense, unwavering support of the planet holding you up, regardless of the systemic chaos above ground.

4. Breath: * Inhale for 7: Drawing strength up from the Earth's core.

Hold for 7: Feeling that stability fill your center.

Exhale for 7: Releasing systemic tension back into the ground to be composted.

As always, the only way out is through. Love you, here for you, we got this.🫶🏼
